01Start from the date and your margin, not from the discount
eMAG has announced Black Friday 2026 for Friday 6 November, according to Gadget.ro on 24 September 2026. That is the first Friday of the month, earlier than many owners expect, and the same article says Fashion Days will most likely start on Monday 2 November. Other shops set their own dates and we did not check them. If you start planning in mid-October, you have about three weeks. A small business will not beat a marketplace on depth of discount. It can win with a narrow offer, with stock it knows it has, and with people who already buy from it. So decide the floor first: the lowest price at which a sale still pays you after cost, VAT, delivery and a return or two. Everything else comes after that number.
- Pick two or three offers, not a sitewide percentage
- Write down the floor price of each offer before any ad or post exists
- Count the stock you can really ship, and cap the offer at that number
- Set an end date and hour, and print it on every message
- For a service, sell a limited number of slots or one bundle, not an open coupon
02The price rule that catches small shops: the 30-day lookback
In Romania an announced price reduction must show the previous price, and that is the lowest price you charged in the last 30 days. The rule is article 4¹ of HG 947/2000, added by HG 686/2022. You must state clearly the period when the previous price applied, and prove it with documents if ANPC staff ask. Count 30 days back from 6 November and you land around 7 October, so the window is already running. Any lower price you charge inside it becomes your reference. It covers products offered to consumers. For services or special cases ask a lawyer or ANPC, because we did not verify them.
- Previous price = the lowest price you charged in the 30 days before the reduction
- A product sold for under 30 days uses its lowest price since it went on sale
- If the discount deepens during one campaign (20%, then 30%), the previous price stays the price before the first reduction
- Show clearly the period when the previous price applied, and keep the documents that prove it
03A three-week plan you can still run
Work backwards from 6 November. This week you choose the offers, fix the floor prices, count the stock and pull your price history for the last 30 days. Next week you build one place where people land, with the offer, the price, the end date and a single action: a form, a call, a WhatsApp link or a booking link. Then you tell the people who already agreed to hear from you, by email or SMS, before you pay for a single ad. If you do run ads, set a daily budget and an end date, and check your tracking before launch so you know what actually sold. During the sale week, answer fast. An enquiry left unanswered is a sale lost, and it is cheap to prevent.
- Days 1 to 3: offers, floor prices, stock count, price history
- Days 4 to 10: the landing page, the wording, the end date
- Days 11 to 15: message your own list first, then start ads if you use them
- Sale week: reply the same day, track what sells, do not extend the deadline quietly
- Week after: write down what sold and at what margin, since you cannot improve a number you never recorded
04Where PROOF48 helps, and where it is the wrong choice
A landing page with one offer and one call to action is the kind of job we build in 48 hours. You send one reference link, you see a live preview, and you pay only if you want to keep it. We confirm the price before building. For ongoing work, BROADCAST is 597 EUR a month for 12 AI videos and 4 blog posts, and GROWTH is 1,497 EUR a month for Meta and Google ad management, 10 ad creatives, retargeting and conversion tracking, with ad spend billed separately. Both are monthly plans, so neither is a fit for a single weekend sale. We have not measured Black Friday results for any client, and we publish none. An online store from scratch has its own timeline and costs 2,500 to 4,500 EUR, so do not plan on one for 6 November.
- Landing page: built in 48 hours, preview first, payment only if you keep it
- BROADCAST, 597 EUR a month: 12 AI videos and 4 blog posts, delivered ready to post
- GROWTH, 1,497 EUR a month: Meta and Google ads, 10 creatives, retargeting, conversion tracking, spend billed separately
- Wrong choice: a store built from zero for 6 November, a one-weekend promotion only, or a guaranteed sales result
- Wrong choice if the offer, the floor price or the stock is still undecided: more content will not fix that
A rotisserie that keeps the margin on its own orders
Rotiseria Baba Novac, a rotisserie in Bucharest, came to PROOF48 wanting off the delivery aggregators that took a cut of every order. We built their own ordering system: menu, cart, Stripe checkout, pickup slots and email confirmations, live at rotiseria.ro inside a week. It was not a Black Friday project, and we publish no order volume, because that number is theirs. The lesson for any promotion is about margin: an order that arrives through your own channel is a commission you keep.

Do I have to discount from the lowest price of the last 30 days?
The text we read requires the announcement to show that price. We did not verify how a percentage must be calculated, so ask ANPC or a lawyer before you print one.
Should a small business join Black Friday at all?
Only if you can name a floor price and a stock count for each offer. If you cannot, a smaller offer sent to your existing customers is safer than a public discount you cannot afford.
Can PROOF48 build a page for my offer before 6 November?
A landing page with one offer and one call to action is the 48-hour kind of build, and you see the preview before you pay. A store is not: it has its own timeline and costs 2,500 to 4,500 EUR.
Does PROOF48 publish Black Friday results?
No. We have not measured Black Friday sales for any client, so we have no figures to quote and we will not estimate them.
Where PROOF48 fits
Plan Black Friday backwards from 6 November, the date eMAG announced. Fix a floor price and a stock cap for two or three offers, check your own 30-day price history because the previous price in a reduction notice is the lowest you charged in that window, then build one landing page and tell your own customers first. PROOF48 can build the page in 48 hours with payment after the preview, and it runs no one-weekend ad packs.
