Why your website does not show up on Google

Usually one of four things: Google has not indexed the site yet, the pages say nothing Google can read, someone left a noindex tag on after launch, or the site is competing for a phrase nobody searches. All four are checkable in Google Search Console in about ten minutes, and three of them are free to fix.

01Check indexing before anything else

There is a difference between not ranking and not existing. Find out which one you have before spending money on the wrong problem.

  • Search Google for site:yourdomain.ro. No results means you are not indexed at all.
  • Open Search Console, paste a page into URL Inspection, and read what it says.
  • Check that a sitemap is submitted and that it was processed successfully.
  • Look for a noindex tag in the page source. Developers add it before launch and forget to remove it more often than anyone admits.

02Indexed but invisible

If Google has your pages and still does not show them, the pages usually do not say what the business does in words a person would type.

  • The homepage says a slogan instead of what you do and where you do it.
  • Every page has the same title tag, so Google cannot tell them apart.
  • There is one page for twenty services, when each service deserves its own.
  • Your city or district appears nowhere on the site, so local searches never match.
  • The text lives inside images, which Google cannot read.

03What actually moves it

In order, cheapest and fastest first. Do not buy links and do not buy a ranking guarantee.

  • Claim and complete a Google Business Profile. For a local business this outranks almost everything else you can do in an afternoon.
  • Give every service its own page, with the words customers use, not the words the industry uses.
  • Put your address and district in the text, not only in the footer.
  • Add structured data so search engines read a salon as a salon and a hotel as a hotel.
  • Wait. New pages take weeks, not days, and anyone promising otherwise is selling.
From a build we shipped

A real example of indexed but invisible

When we took over SCP Shine & Style the old site was indexed and going nowhere. The pages did not name the district, so searches for the neighbourhood never matched, and thirty services shared one page so none of them could rank for anything specific. We gave every service its own page, put the surrounding landmarks in the content, and redirected each old address. Nothing about that required buying links, and the site had all the raw ingredients already.

Questions, answered

How long until a new site appears on Google?

Days to be indexed if you submit a sitemap, weeks to months to rank for anything competitive. Being indexed and ranking are different milestones and they arrive at different times.

Should I pay someone for SEO?

Not before the basics are done, because a monthly retainer on a site with one page and no Google Business Profile is money spent on the wrong layer. Fix the free things first, then decide.

We rebuilt the site and traffic collapsed. Why?

Almost always missing redirects. Every old address has to point at its new one, or every position you had earned points at a 404. It is fixable after the fact, but it costs weeks you did not need to lose.

Where PROOF48 fits

PROOF48 builds the structure that makes ranking possible: a page per service, correct structured data, real redirects when we replace an old site, and your district in the content. We will not promise you a position, because nobody controls that.
