How a no-deposit website actually works

A no-deposit website means the developer builds first, at their own cost and risk, and only asks for payment after you have a working preview to judge. PROOF48 does this for every website: you send one reference link, we build your version in 48 hours, and if you do not love the preview, you owe nothing, no deposit, no cancellation fee, no invoice at all. Websites priced this way run 500 to 2,500 EUR once approved.

01Why most agencies ask for money first

A deposit exists to protect the agency from a client who changes their mind after work has started, and that risk is real: revision loops, scope creep and clients who vanish mid-project are common enough that most studios build the deposit into how they price everything. The tradeoff is that the client takes on the mirror-image risk, paying before there is anything to see, based on a proposal deck and a portfolio of other people's projects. Neither side is wrong to want protection, but only one of these models lets the buyer judge a working site instead of a promise.

  • A deposit protects the agency against a client who walks away mid-project
  • Paying up front means judging a proposal deck, not a working site
  • Both risks are real, but only one model can be removed without removing the safety it provides
  • Building first shifts the risk to whoever is more able to absorb losing it

02How PROOF48 makes the math work without a deposit

Building first only survives if the scope is narrow enough to build without a discovery call, which is why the filter is deliberately tight: business websites up to about five pages, or a single landing page, following a real reference link you send. If PROOF48 guessed wrong on half the projects it took, giving away 48 hours of work each time, the model would collapse within a quarter. So the answer to a request outside that scope, a store, a web app, anything needing legal review before a word ships, is an honest no, or a different scoped project, rather than a preview neither side actually wants.

  • The scope is deliberately narrow: a business website up to about five pages, or a landing page
  • A real reference link replaces a discovery call as the entire brief
  • Stores, web apps and legally reviewed content get their own scoped project, not a 48-hour build
  • The narrow filter is what makes the no-deposit offer survive at all

What a website in this offer looks like

SCP Shine & Style, a beauty salon on Strada Baba Novac in Bucharest, already had a website, and it was hurting them. PROOF48 rebuilt it as a business website: a page per service, a booking flow pointing at the salon's booking platform, and every old WordPress URL redirected so nothing indexed broke. It has been live at scpshineandstyle.ro since August 2026. That is the kind of build this offer covers: a website, not a store or an app.

Questions, answered

What if I take the preview and never pay?

You get a preview link, not the code or the domain, so walking away means leaving with nothing rather than a free website. PROOF48 accepts that risk because the offer only covers builds narrow enough to absorb it.

Does no deposit mean the price is negotiable afterward?

No, the price is confirmed before the build starts, based on pages and integrations, so there is no surprise number waiting at hour 48. What changes is when you pay it, not how much.

Where PROOF48 fits

No deposit does not mean no cost, it means the developer carries the risk until there is a real site to judge. PROOF48 builds every website this way, at 500 to 2,500 EUR once approved, and keeps the offer alive by only taking on work narrow enough to build without a meeting first.
